Allison is the descendant of an enslaver who at one point was the richest man in Virginia. She is now actively giving away her inherited wealth, investing in microloans and community land trusts for people of color.

Bobby was distraught to learn that his great-grandmother was a spy for the Confederacy and a defender of the practice of slavery. He is dedicated to educating others about the full horror of slavery and how it persists in affecting our lives today.

Sarah is working with the great-great-great-grandson of a man enslaved by her great-great-great-grandfather in Savannah, Georgia. His family was granted land as reparations in 1890, but the county is trying to retake this land by eminent domain.
